Ozioma Ozor-Ilo
PhD Candidate, Mechanical Engieneering

Research Interests:Â Global engineering, manufacturing, robotics, medical devices, human-centered design
Bio: Ozioma graduated from Rice University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2022. While at Rice, she developed an interest in haptics and conducted research on wearable haptics in the MAHI Lab under Dr. Marcia O'Malley. For her master’s degree at MIT, she continued to explore the field of haptics, focusing on thermal haptics and wetness illusions under the guidance of Dr. Lynette Jones. As her research interests evolved toward a more design-oriented approach, she joined the Device Realization Lab to pursue hands-on work addressing critical topics in engineering.
Outside the lab, she actively participates in various organizations and advisory groups and collaborates with fellow students.
Other Interests:Â Becoming a polyglot, reading, cooking, running, traveling
